While the statement is being read, Loretta Ritte gives lei to the panel and Peggy Hao Ross states to the panel she is for Mayor Elmer Cravalho's petition. Next, Mayor Cravalho makes a statement followed by Charles Carmondy, director of Asia Pacific Office of Aviation Systems Associates, who reads a statement from U.S. Representative Patsy Mink in support of the petition, then gives his own statement. In the crowd are Peggy Hao Ross and Harry Mitchell.
