Researchers from Phillips University in West Germany, Dr. Manfred Ashe and Dr. Hannelore Hoch explain in detail the diverse characteristics and evolution of some of Hawaiʻi's many species of Planthoppers. Dr. Ashe focuses on two species from Hawaiʻi and Kauaʻi that have complicated songs. Dr. Hoch focuses on the study of cave-dwelling Planthoppers.
