Interview with Catherine Ann Stevens, wife of the late Senator Ted Stevens. The interview was recorded at the law offices of Mayer Brown in Washington, D.C. on February 11, 2015 for the Daniel K. Inouye Oral History Project. Topics include a summary of her childhood, education and career, how she met her husband, her husband's strong friendship with Senator Inouye, the personalities of Senator Stevens and Senator Inouye, stories from how the two Senators traveled together, their concern for the native peoples of their respective states (Alaska and Hawaiʻi), their political support for each other, and their mutual intelligence and curiosity. Includes photographs of Senator Inouye and Senator Stevens together, their name plaques at the Commerce Committee, and their matching jackets for trips.
