Interview with Hideo "Pakala" Takahashi

Interview with Hideo "Pakala" Takahashi, who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team with Senator Inouye. The interview was recorded at the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center in Kahului on October 2, 2015 for the Daniel K. Inouye Oral History Project. Topics include growing up in Lahaina, signing up for the 442nd, getting wounded during the war, Senator Inouye becoming the platoon leader, the first attack led by Senator Inouye, being celebrated by liberated Italian villages, and procedures after the war.
