Interview with Tatsuno Ogawa recorded on July 24, 1986 and conducted by Chris Conybeare and Barbara Kawakami in Japanese with English translations. Some topics include her childhood, how her marriage was arranged, how she came to Hawaiʻi, her last day in Japan and her first day in Hawaiʻi, working in the plantation field, cooking and washing clothes for the bachelor workers for extra money, how her daughter died, and bringing her child to work with her. Interview was conducted in Japanese. This interview was also used in the CLEAR Rice & Roses production Hole Hole Bushi: Songs of the Cane Field.
