Interview with Enos "Enoka" Kaohi recorded on April 30, 1999 about the 1949 Dock Strike. Kaohi worked on Kauaʻi as a stevedore. Topics include starting out working as a casual worker then later as a stevedore longshoreman, reasons for the strike, the union's relationship with the newspaper, the women's auxiliary supporting the strike, soup kitchens, how the union members spent their time during the strike, and what his brothers who also had some experience in longshoring thought of the strike.
