Hale mua and Kūʻula at Kaunolū 2/20/88

Interview with Sol Kahoʻohalahala recorded on February 20, 1988. The video documents two archaeological sites on Lānaʻi mentioned by anthropologist Kenneth Emory in his research. The sites are located in the areas of Kaunolū and Keālia Kapu. Topics include Sol's description and opinion of a site near a lava tube, the possibility of it being a hale mua, its usage, construction of the sites, and Kūʻula in the area. Includes panoramic shots of the area looking down to the shoreline and ocean.
