Interview with Ayako Kikugawa recorded on August 11, 1987 and conducted by Chris Conybeare and Barbara Kawakami in Japanese with some English translations. Topics include where she is from, how she came to Hawaiʻi, her arrival in Hawaiʻi, meeting her husband for the first as a picture bride, posing for a picture in a kimono, her husband's job and fisher. This interview was also used in the CLEAR Rice & Roses production Hole Hole Bushi: Songs of the Cane Field.
