Interviews with Masami and Fusayo Takamoto conducted by Barbara Kawakami and recorded on May 12, 1995 for the 1946: The Great Hawaiʻi Sugar Strike project. Topics include asking Mr. Takamoto if he remembered anything about the strike. Mrs. Takamoto talks about coming to Hawaiʻi, adjusting to married life and working on the plantation, childcare, her mother-in-law, entertainment, grocery shopping, pay on the plantations, how busy her husband was, and how she was glad she came to Hawaiʻi.
