Interview with Rikio Anzai conducted by Chris Conybeare and recorded on May 12, 1995 for the 1946: The Great Hawaiʻi Sugar Strike project. Topics include the strike and housing conditions, beginning work on the plantation, joining the union, the communist scare, union meetings, pay and equality, children and childcare on the plantation, meeting his wife, feelings after the strike, the closing of the sugar plantations, and change for the next generation.
