Interview with Philibert Secretario and Manu Kahaialii separately recorded on June 26, 1989. Philibert Secretario talks about his younger years of growing up in Lahaina and playing old Hawaiian music with his father and sister. Kahaialii also talks about his experience playing the Hoʻolaulea festival on Maui on August 16, 1970 co-organized by Eddie Kamae and Carl Linquist. Kahaialii played with Gabby Pahinui and Eddie Kamae and "the story goes that Kahaialii loved Maui so much he stayed and had his wife and kids join him." Includes footage of Secretario playing Hawaiian music at a bar and b-roll footage of Maui.
