Interview with George Kuo 8/30/90

Interview with George Kuo recorded on August 30, 1990. Kuo says hearing the sweet sounds of the guitar sparked his interest in learning slack key guitar. Kuo describes how he was taught by the masters Raymond Kāne, Sonny Chillingworth, and Gabby Pahinui just to name of few. According to Kuo his style of playing is "sweet nahenahe (melodious)." This video also includes several takes of George playing some instrumental pieces including "Mauna Loa Blues" and interludes with the Mauna Loa tuning.
