The Akiko Dance Company presents "Beyond Roles"

The Akiko Dance Company presents "Beyond Roles" an exploration of female role models through the myths of goddesses. In this production, members of the dance company perform dances that tell the stories of goddesses from around the world. The goddesses featured are Amaterasu (Japanese sun goddess), Lilith (Babylonian agriculture goddess), Huitaca (Colombian moon goddess), Spider Woman (American Indian creation goddess), and Devi (East Indian goddess with masculine manifestations).
