Memory Lane

CLEAR presents Memory Lane produced in 1987 for the Rice & Roses series; produced and written by Chris Conybeare and directed and edited by Joy Chong. Railroad workers remember the early days of locomotives which were used at Kauaʻi sugar plantations. Barbara Kawakami also interviews a carpenter, seamstress, and Japanese female plantation workers who remember the hardships they endured.
