Recorded on July 2, 1986 this video contains photographs recorded for the program Picture Brides. The footage includes black and white photographs of newly wed Japanese couples. Most of the women in the photographs were picture brides sent to Hawaiʻi to marry Japanese laborers. The photographs are circa 1912-1924.
