Interview with Lydia "Mama" Hale recorded on August 13, 1993. The video begins with Hale playing music and singing with other kūpuna. "Alu Like" and "Ua Mau-Hosana" are the songs they sing. In the interview portion of the video Hale explains kaona (hidden meaning) and what certain things in nature represent. She also explains a few songs written by Alfred Alohikea, composer of "Pua Lilia" and "Kai Hawanawana" to name a few.
