Interview with Barbara Kawakami conducted by Joy Chong and recorded on July 9, 1987 for the Memory Lane project. This interview was filmed at various locations in Waipahu. Topics include the view of the attack on Pearl Harbor; catching clams and crabs; making sandals from bulrushes and rice stalks; buildings, homes, and fields that were around the Waipahu Sugar Mill; and Hoʻaeʻae a land division in ʻEwa.
