Some Okinawans featured on the program are Mamo Kaneshiro and his family who run one of the largest pig farms in Hawaiʻi; Jack Uyehara and his family who started the Aloha Tofu factory on Oʻahu; Calvin Nakama who preserves the tradition of taiko drumming; and Kenton Odo who plays shamisen and sings traditional Okinawan songs.
