Interview with Claybourne "Braddah Smitty" Smith recorded on October 29, 1994 for the documentary "The History of the Sons of Hawaiʻi." This video starts with several takes of Smitty singing/playing guitar, songs include "Kauaʻi Beauty," composed by Henry Waiau and "Hiʻilawe," composed by Sam Liʻa Kalainaina, Sr. In the interview Smitty talks about Gabby Pahinui and names several other musicians who played with the Sons of Hawaiʻi including Palani Vaughan, Peter Moon, Manu Kahaialii and Sonny Chillingworth amongst others. Smitty also shares his memories about the Sons of Hawaiʻi, particularly fun stories of Joe Marshall.
