Interview with Haruno Tazawa from ʻEwa Plantation, and Sahichi and Kaku Kumasaka from Oʻahu Sugar Company, conducted by Barbara Kawakami and recorded in June 1982 for Hole Hole Bushi: Songs of the Cane Field. Some of the topics include what Mrs. Tazawa went through after her husband died and how she made a living by sewing for the bachelors on the plantation. Video also includes plantation clothes modeled by Mrs. Tazawa, Chris Conybeare, and Mr. and Mrs. Kumasaka. Interview is conducted in Japanese and English.
