Interview with Ocean Kaowili at Atherton Studio Hawaiʻi Public Radio 1/8/00

Interview with Ocean Kaowili recorded on January 8, 2000 for the documentary "The History of the Sons of Hawaiʻi." Kaowili shares stories of how he started playing the bass including one story about how his father telling him not to touch the bass made him want to learn the instrument even more. Kaowili also shares stories of his younger years when his father would dress up in his red palaka shirt and overalls to go listen to Hawaiian music.
