Interviews with Toshio "Fat" Nagata and Takashi "Take" Takeguchi recorded separately on April 24, 1996 conducted by Chris Conybeare and Teresa Bill for the 1946: The Great Hawaiʻi Sugar Strike program. Topics of Nagata's interview include how he and other organizers got their nicknames; working conditions on the plantation before the union; preparing for the 1946 strike; and organizing with the longshoremen. Topics of Takeguchi's interview include how his family ended up on the plantation; when he started to work; his nickname; living in the eight mile camp; and the relief committee during the strike.
