Interview with Gladys Kuroda, Kay Miyada, and Tatsuo Fujisaki and talk story at the Puna Sugar Company, formerly the ʻŌlaʻa Sugar Company. Recorded on May 6, 1996 conducted by Chris Conybeare and Teresa Bill for the 1946: The Great Hawaiʻi Sugar Strike program. Kuroda, Miyada, and Fujisaki are interviewed separately and asked what they were doing during the 1946 strike and how they contributed to it. After the interviews Kuroda, Miyada, Fujisaki, and others walk around the Puna Sugar mill and camp houses. During their walk Bill asks them questions about the camps, their job, scabs, and discrimination.
