Interview with Alfredo Vilanueva recorded on May 30, 1996 conducted by Teresa Bill for the 1946: Great Hawaiʻi Sugar Strike. Villanueva stands in a park where the cane field used to be and talks about the history of the workers, the union, and the union parades. Interview is followed by clippings from the Garden Island newspaper covering the strike and pictures of union men held at Kauaʻi Historical Society. Tape ends with b-roll footage of sugarcane.
