Honolulu Advertiser and ILWU archive photographs 4/14/98

Spanning two videotapes this title contains footage of black and white photographs from the Honolulu Advertiser newspaper and the ILWU Library collection recorded on April 14, 1998 for the Great Hawai'i Dock Strike. Images include Robert McElrath; Broom Brigade women strikers; Mass Rally Citizens Committee holding signs; people picketing in front of the Honolulu Advertiser building; longshoreman on the docks; men listening to a lecture; the Citizen's Committee; and the Kauai Shack Gang plantation workers from Lihue. The newspaper headlines read: "Frame-up is Fought;" "ILWU Exposes Big Five Plot;" and "Hawai'i's Governor Joins Bosses in Operation Fink." Footage is described by Chris Conybeare and Joy Chong.
