Interview with Shunichi "Bobby" Tasaka recorded on June 21, 1988 and conducted by Chris Conybeare and Beryl Blaich at the Tasaka residence in Hanalei, Kauaʻi for Rice Mill Days. Topics include how he was born in 1906; going to public school and Japanese school; everyone getting along regardless of differences in ethnicities; how the hau tree was used for different things; how the supply ditch was cleaned once a year by all the farmers; how at sixteen he helped dig the tunnel for irrigation; and how two years later he went to the mainland to pick strawberries.
