Interview with Shunichi "Bobby" Tasaka recorded on June 21, 1988 and conducted by Chris Conybeare and Beryl Blaich at the Tasaka residence in Hanalei, Kauaʻi for Rice Mill Days. Topics include picking strawberries in California; being interned in a Japanese concentration camp on the continental U.S.; coming back to Hanalei after the war and how there were fewer farmers; how his family lost laborers on their rice farm; how after the war most rice farmers were growing taro instead of rice; his knowledge about farming taro; hukilau fishing; and changes in Hanalei.
