Topics include picking strawberries in California; being interned in a Japanese concentration camp on the continental U.S.; coming back to Hanalei after the war and how there were fewer farmers; how his family lost laborers on their rice farm; how after the war most rice farmers were growing taro instead of rice; his knowledge about farming taro; hukilau fishing; and changes in Hanalei.
