Pau Hana Years : United Nations Week Celebration 11/10/77

In this episode of Pau Hana Years Bob Barker visits the Waipahu Cultural Garden for the United Nations Week Hoʻolauleʻa on November 10, 1977. Performances feature multi-ethnic groups in Hawaiʻi. Mayor Frank Fasi and Governor George Ariyoshi deliver speeches about the community. Jack Lindsey, executive director of the Waipahu Cultural Garden Park, shares the master plan to develop a living memorial of the plantations. Hideo "Major" Okada, former president of the Waipahu Community Association, talks about the area's history.
