Interview with John and Aiko Reinecke recorded on November 18, 1976 and conducted by Bob Barker at the Hawaiʻi Public Television studio for the program Pau Hana Years. The Reineckes talk about their upbringing and education that led them to teaching at public schools in Hawaiʻi; how their support of labor unions and collective bargaining resulted in their employment termination in 1948, and which was overturned recently by the Hawai'i State Board of Education. They also discuss their political activities that followed after they were fired.
