Pau Hana Years : Ray Kinney; 1970

Interview with musician Ray Kinney conducted by Bob Barker and recorded in 1970 at the Hawaiʻi Public Television studio for the program Pau Hana Years. Kinney talks about his early years in music and entertainment, his time in Hollywood working with Harry Owens and Bing Crosby, and his return to Hawaiʻi, collaborating with Alfred Apaka. Kinney mentions New York's Lexington Hotel, location of the Hawaiian Room. Kinney performs a selection of songs that he wrote, including "Across the Sea" and "Hawaiian Hospitality."
