Pau Hana Years : "Highway to Hawaii"; 1975

This episode of Pau Hana Years is a screening of "Highway to Hawaii," a destination marketing film produced by United Airlines recorded circa 1950. It announces United's transpacific air routes with their DC-6 airplanes. Visitor attractions on the islands of Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, Maui, and Hawaiʻi are explored, featuring Hawaiʻi's natural landscapes and urban neighborhoods. The program also spotlights Hawaiian cultural activities as well as outdoor and ocean recreation. Host Bob Barker introduces the film and shares his final thoughts. Episode recorded in 1975.
