Pau Hana Years : Gavan Daws 12/5/73

Interview with University of Hawaiʻi history professor Gavan Daws on December 5, 1973 conducted by Bob Barker at the Hawaiʻi Public Television studio for the program Pau Hana Years. As president of the environmental nonprofit organization, Life of the Land, Daws talks about contemporary conditions of Hawaiʻi. Daws also discusses his recently published book, "Holy Man: Father Damien of Molokaʻi," how Father Damien established the parish in the Kalawao leper settlement, his service to the community, and his lasting legacy worldwide.
