Interview with taro farmers and church caretakers recorded on May 11, 1977 and conducted by Bob Barker at Keʻanae Valley and Wailua Valley in East Maui for the program Pau Hana Years. Farmers Joe Young, Sam Kaauamo, Abraham Akiona, and James Pueo take Barker on tours of their taro patches. Dorothea Lum Hoy shares her stories about her poi factory. Awapuhi Carmichael shows Our Lady of Fatima Shrine at Saint Gabriel Mission. Maryann Pahukoa and her son Harry Pahukoa talk about restoring Lanakila Ihiihi O Iehova Ona Kaua Congregational Church, built in 1860.
