Continued interview with Kahu David Kawika Kaʻalakea from title 24876 and recorded in Kīpahulu on June 10, 1992 for the documentary "Hawaiian Voices: Bridging Past to Present." Interview in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language). Kahu Kaʻalakea visits the home where he grew up with his parents and grandmother, and also where he married his wife and raised their children. Kahu Kaʻalakea explains the nohona o ka ʻohana (way of life within the family). Other subjects in this interview include the history of Kīpahulu; ka mālama ʻana o nā pipi (carring for cattle); and nā loina lawaiʻa (fishers).
