Interview with Ruth Kaholoaʻa recorded at her house in Hilo on August 11, 1991 for the documentary "Hawaiian Voices: Bridging Past to Present." In English and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language). In this interview Kaholoaʻa shares stories of her father, Kiyoshi Nakagawa; fishing with gun powder; giving birth to her children and her responsibility to them as a mother. Contains Kaholoaʻa talking about domestic violence she experienced. May not be suitable for young children.
