Interview with Ruth Kaholoaʻa recorded in Waipiʻo Valley, Hawaiʻi Island on August 16, 1992 for the documentary "Hawaiian Voices: Bridging Past to Present." This video contains footage of Kaholoaʻa kuku kapa (beating tapa). Also includes Kia Fronda, a farmer from Waipiʻo Valley chanting to the same beat of Kaholoaʻa's beating kapa, "Ku ku ke ke i ke kua ma keke kapa e hohoa hoʻi he, translated as "beat, beat upon the anvil of kapa beater." Kaholoaʻa also gives some ʻike noʻeau (expert knowledge) on kuku kapa.
