B-roll footage of Ruth Kaholoaʻa recorded in Waipiʻo Valley, Hawaiʻi Island on August 16, 1992 for the documentary "Hawaiian Voices: Bridging Past to Present." Footage includes Kaholoaʻa catching ʻōpae (general name for shrimp) in the stream; walking along the kuapā of the loʻi kalo (banks of the taro patch); Kaholoaʻa showing students how to wrap taro in tī leaves, which was done in the past to prevent the mule from getting its sweat into the taro; and shots of Hiʻilawe waterfall flowing into Lālākea Stream.
