In the first segment of this episode, the ʻAha Mānaleo (native speaker group) journeys to Miloliʻi. ʻAnakala Eddie Kaʻanāʻanā talks about growing up in Miloliʻi; making dried ʻōpelu; the fish trade; collecting rainwater; using a net and underwater viewer to catch ʻōpelu; fishing laws; making and using fish bait; and two-hook lines. Includes a segment called Hōkai Ua Lawaiʻa Makapaʻa featuring footage of ʻAnakala Eddie Kaʻanāʻanā and Walter Paulo fishing for ʻōpelu shot by Nā Maka o Ka ʻĀina. This episode of the Mānaleo series aired on January 27, 2001.
