Kohala Hawaiian Civic Club blessing, flag raising, and scaffolding set up 2/25 and 2/26

The blessing of the King Kamehameha statue by Reverend Samuel Saffery Jr. and flag raising during the first days of restoration work on February 25 and 26. Tape begins with Reverend Saffery blessing the King Kamehameha statue on February 25, so that the restoration work can begin. After the blessing, the attendees share gifts and stories. The tape continues with footage from the next day which includes b-roll of the statue and the courthouse, teacher Margaret Hoy raising the flag, and conservator Glenn Wharton setting up scaffolding and taking pictures.
