Produced in 1995, this documentary follows the rise of the sovereign nation of Hawaiʻi from the arrival of the Polynesians through the period of four competing kingdoms (Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Maui and Hawaiʻi) to the interisland warfare which led to the formation of the Hawaiian kingdom. Includes interviews with Rubellite Johnson, Herb Kane, and Kumu John Lake telling stories and chanting.
