Interview with conservationist Sam Gon recorded in Kokeʻe, Kauaʻi on May 26,1999 for the documentary May Earth Live: A Journey Through the Hawaiian Forest. Topics include how pigs and other ungulates disperse non-native alien plant species into the native Hawaiian forests; how different pest plants, like miconia, kill native plants and ecosystems and how people are responding to these threats. Last part of tape includes b-roll footage of walk shots going through the native forest in Kokeʻe, Kauaʻi.
