Former lieutenant governor and state supreme court chief justice talks about his own law education and the University of Hawaiʻi law school, which is named for him. His relationship with John Burns and his supreme court decisions are also discussed. Other topics include recruiting Hawaiians into the Democratic party; and Hawaiian custom in law.
