Interview with Eddie Kamae about Sam Liʻa; 1987 tape 3

Continued from title 25764, Eddie Kamae speaking dialogue used for the documentary "Liʻa: The Legacy of a Hawaiian Man" recorded in 1987 on Hawaiʻi Island. In this video Kamae says Sam Liʻa Kalainaina's music is a window into an older Hawai'i and how he was an accomplished musician who played the violin, ʻukulele, guitar, piano, organ and was the choir leader at numerous churches. Kamae also talks about the making of ʻōkolehao, a distilled liquor made from the ti root and the song titled "Sweet 16," the only English language song Liʻa shared with Kamae.
