Continued from title 25835, interview with Eddie Kamae recorded on August 29, 2009 in Punaluʻu, Oʻahu for the documentary "Those Who Came Before: The Musical Journey of Eddie Kamae." Kamae continues to share his experience of the first meeting with Mary Kawena Pukui. Other topics discussed are his journey to find the song "Tūtū;" the guidance Kamae received throughout his life's work to Hoʻomau (to perpetuate); and a visit to Mabel and Nani Ho's house in Waimānalo which led to playing with Gabby Pahinui. Kamae also shares his emotions of hearing Pahinui play "Sanoe," which set in motion his playing music, the only thing his father asked of Kamae.
