Interview with Walter Kawaiae'a and Wayne Reis recorded on July 9, 1994 and conducted by Martha Noyes for Legacy of Light. Kawaiaeʻa recalls the time he met George Helm at Saint Louis School, learning Hawaiian music from Kahauanu Lake, and transitioning into their professional career as a trio with Reis. Kawaiaeʻa also reminisces about their Japan tour with Kumu Hula Al Makahinu Barcarse and working with Andy Cummings at Hawaiian Airlines. Reis talks about meeting Helm at Church College of Hawaiʻi (now BYU-Hawaiʻi) and living with Helm in Waikīkī working as entertainers.
