Palace ceremonies 8/12/1998 tape 4

Tape four of ceremonies at ʻIolani Palace recorded on August 12, 1998. The ceremonies commemorate the resistance to annexation of Hawaiʻi and observance of the 100-year anniversary of "Annexation Day" which took place on August 12, 1898. This tape includes interviews with three people at the ceremonies about Hawaiian issues, sovereignty, and their feelings of the day. Interviewees include Nalani Goeas and Kawailani Soma.
