Footage includes shots of the covers of "The Story of Lahaina" by Inez Ashdown and "Na Kanawai o Ke Kau o 1888," and still photographs. One photograph is of women dressed in white dresses sitting on a bench and men dressed in black suits standing behind the women; "6457 Kaiolani Kaupiko," an elderly man with two puppies standing in a māla (garden); Father Damien with children posing at Kalaupapa, Molokaʻi; the words of mele "E Nā Kini o Ka ʻĀina" written by Ernest Kala on a piece of paper; and newspaper clippings about Dr. Katsugoro Haida, a first-ship immigrant who became a pioneering doctor.
