Interview with Arthur "Wung Duck" Kanakaʻole 5/21/2000
Interview with Arthur "Wung Duck" Kanakaʻole and b-roll footage recorded on May 21, 2000 for the documentary "Lahaina: Waves of Change." The first part of the video consists of b-roll footage taken at Kamehameha Iki Park in Lāhainā of several participants of the International Festival of Canoes in the beginning stages of carving a canoe. The second part is an interview with "Wung Duck," his father is "Wung Buck Chong" a wrestler in the late 1930s. Kanakaʻole talks about the Kanakaʻole ʻohana (family), his family on his mother's side. Then Eddie Kamae and Kanakaʻole reminisce a bit about their younger years in Lani Kai.
