Continued from title 26688, interview with Akoni Akana recorded in Lāhainā, Maui on July 20, 1999 for the documentary "Lahaina: Waves of Change." Akana continues to share his manaʻo (thoughts) of the significance of not only Mokuʻula itself, but its surroundings. The tape also includes still photographs of Kamehameha III Kauikeaouli; a painting of the funeral of Keōpūolani, mother of Kauikeaouli; and photographs taken during the Bishop Museum's archaeological survey of Mokuʻula.
