Continued from title 26691, interview with Harold "Hale" Kaniho recorded in Olowalu, Maui on July 21, 1999 for the documentary "Lahaina: Waves of Change." Kaniho continues to share his experiences of growing up in Lāhainā; the layout of the land at Ukumehame; taro patches; Hawaiian oranges; two big twin lua (cave/pit); and the families who once lived there. Kaniho also shares what he knew about Kauhailikua ʻŌpūnui, Eddie Kamae's grandmother who lived in Lāhainā; the notion of respect within the family; and naming his youngest son Kamealoha Patrick Eddie Lee Kaniho.
